The Original Moby Wrap is a simple, easy to use and comfortable stretchy wrap style baby sling. Consisting of one long piece of fabric, there are no buckles or clasps, just tie on the carrier, and off you go! The simplicity of the design makes them highly adjustable, without having to readjust the sling to fit parents of different sizes. The wonderfully soft and stretchy material will cocoon your baby safely, mimicking the sensation of being in the womb, and easily enabling you to practice skin-to-skin contact, which is so soothing for newborns. As your baby grows, the material will still provide support, and you can move to alternative carrying positions. The Moby Wrap is a great sling for unsettled and colicky babies, as they can be comforted in an upright position, whilst allowing the parents to have their hands free!

Features of the Moby Wrap Sling

Moby Baby Wraps are made from soft 100% stretch cotton in a variety of solid colours, with a one-way stretch - supports your baby's weight through your whole torso eliminating shoulder and back strain
Suitable from premature/newborn baby up to 35lbs, and excellent choice for premature/newborn babies needing skin to skin contact, and ideal for kangaroo care
Allows several different carrying positions to suit parent and child, including on-the-go, hands free breastfeeding
Can be used as a blanket or sunshade when not being used as a carrier. Folds up small so easy to pop into a changing bag or under your pushchair
Machine washable in cold water and tumble dry low. Slight shrinkage after washing may occur. Once you start wearing your Moby sling, it will stretch out again.

Moby Wrap dimensions (approx): length 5.5m x width 58cm (18' long x 22" wide). Moby slings are suitable for most size parents.

As a sling newbie, i was loaned one of these by a friend who suggested it would a good one to start with, and it was fantastic. Ive since bought my own and am using it with my 7 week old and we both love it. In the evenings when she finds it hard to settle if we cant sit and snuggle her up, I put her in the moby and she's asleep in minutes - while I'm getting on with the cooking and cleaning! Thoroughly recommended :-)

This is a well made, comfortable sling that I often recommend to other parents of new babies. The fabric is soft and perfect for tiny little ones. It does take time to learn how to tie it well and to able to tweak and adjust it for maximum comfort. But it is well worth the time spent learning! I found it much more comfortable than a buckled carrier and I used my Moby almost daily until my son was about 8 months old. I found it utterly indispensable. I am looking forward to using it again with my next child.

I bought a Moby wrap when I was pregnant with my son. We chose 'forest green' as a colour that my husband would be happy wearing too, and wow did it get a lot of use! I loved how putting it on *before* putting the baby in gave me time to make sure that it was secure and tied tightly. I could leave it on all day and pop my baby in and out for feeds and nappy changes, and even use it for a little privacy when breastfeeding, if needed. My best way to describe it would be what I said when I first used it (hubby got the first few uses!); 'Like a big cuddle with no arms!' I adored being able to hold my baby so close and comfortably, it was like he was weightless and it got the wind out like a dream - he would burp before I'd finished getting him in, and was normally asleep by then too! Once he hit about 7 months, I began to feel his weight more, and the Moby became a little 'bouncy'. I did find that through tying differently and more tightly I could still feel comfortable using it, but I also felt better moving on to something a bit less stretchy and it's now out on loan! The only thing I would say against it is not to bother folding lengthways as it says in the instruction booklet - I think I did this once and never bothered afterwards, which worked fine for us. Overall, I'd say that a Moby is a great starter wrap. It has easy to follow instructions, and the stretch makes it more forgiving than a woven if you don't quite get it perfect. The fabric is gorgeously soft and snuggly, without being too hot or cold. It's a great price too, especially if you are still working out if a wrap is the style of sling for you.
