Wraparound Slings

Wraparound Slings (known as 'Wraps') are available in two types of fabric and are the perfect from birth onwards carriers. Although wrap slings have a steeper learning curve than the other styles of carriers, they are also the most versatile and the most adjustable. This style of sling is ideal for parents who wish to share a sling, as well as those with back problems and are a wonderful tool for Kangaroo Care. We have split our baby wrap slings by type.

Stretchy Wraps are made from jersey cotton material, some with a small lycra content and are usually between 4.5 and 6 metres in length. A wonderful sling for newborns, they hold a young baby snugly against the parents body. Because stretchy wraparound slings are easy to use (with a small amount of practice) and poppable, they are an excellent choice for parents getting used to going out and about with a new baby. Woven Wraps are also suitable from the newborn stage, but can be used until toddlerhood comfortably due to the strength of the fabric. They are made from fabric which specially woven to provide some 'give' without being stretchy. Available in a wide choice of colours and lengths, to many these are the best slings you can buy, and their versatility does make them a great choice for the family looking to purchase only one sling to last for years.
